"Exiles and Dreamers: Panorama of 20th Century Graphic Arts from the Armenian Diaspora" Educational Program at CCA

The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) presented its new educational program based on the exhibition, "Exiles and Dreamers: Panorama of 20th Century Graphic Arts from the Armenian Diaspora," the fourth exhibition in the Yerevan Collectors’ Choice series which was on display at CCA's Eagle Gallery from November 29, 2019 – March 01, 2020.
 
During the program, designed for schoolchildren (12+) and families, the participants were introduced to the different techniques of printmaking and its features at the Graphic Arts Department Laboratory of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. The program continued at CCA Eagle Gallery, where a detailed presentation of the exhibition was given, and the participants played “Guess the Technique” game, guessing the techniques of graphic arts they had already learned.

The project was realized in partnership with the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia.

The objectives of the program were:  
• Exploring the exhibition, "Exiles and Dreamers: Panorama of 20th Century Graphic Arts from the Armenian Diaspora";
• Presenting the different techniques and features of graphic arts;
• Developing participants' ability to distinguish the techniques of graphic arts;
• Becoming a link between schools and Art University, asserting CCA’s important role in art education.

    The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) announces the closure of Ivana Šrámková: Geometric Forms and Images exhibition at Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of the Center. The exhibition, opened in November 2010, for the first time in Armenia presented the works by Czech glass artist Ivana Šrámková from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection. The exhibition was also accompanied by a children’s program, Creativity and Imagination, administered in the exhibition gallery for children aged 6-12.
