Georgii Uvs: THE GATE Opened at CCA

June 13, 2024
The private preview of London-based artist Georgii Uvs exhibition, THE GATE, took place in Eagle gallery of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts on June 13, 2024․

The curator of the exhibition is Ellen Nash (Nashikyan).

Georgii Uvs, both philosopher and artist, strives to express the unique psychological and emotional states he believes humanity is experiencing. The only medium through which he expresses his existential conclusions and explorations is paint. He uses paint as his sole medium, foregoing brushes and traditional tools, crafting his paints from medieval recipes and his own secrets.
THE GATE series emerged during one of the most transitional periods in human history, affecting all civilizations and countries, regardless of race, creed, or political regime - COVID-19 and the lockdown.

The exhibition is open for the public in Eagle Gallery of the Center till October 6, 2024. Admission is free.
