LET'S GO TO THE MUSEUM! Book Presentation Took Place at CCA on December 23, 2022

December 23, 2022
The presentation of "LET'S GO TO THE MUSEUM!" interactive children's book took place on December 23, 2022, in CCA's Gallery One.

How can Christmas gifts not include an interesting, unique, and colorfully illustrated children’s book about art?

"LET'S GO TO THE MUSEUM!" children’s book is dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of the “Cafesjian Museum” Foundation. With the efforts of the Foundation, established in 2002, the Cascade Complex, which had been an unfinished site for more than 10 years, was completely renovated and opened to the public as the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. In 2002, the Cat sculpture by world-famous Columbian sculptor, Fernando Botero, was installed at the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden, becoming its first “resident.” Today, the Cat is the main character of CCA’s newest initiative – "LET'S GO TO THE MUSEUM!" book.

During the event, the hosts spoke about the purpose and content of the book, explored interesting facts about cats, and reminisced about famous cat characters in fairy tales and cartoons. The children also solved a big crossword puzzle about art and cats. After the presentation, a creative program took place for the participant children who created Christmas tree ornaments in the shape of cats!

“We are happy to announce about a new children’s book, "LET'S GO TO THE MUSEUM!", ahead of the New Year and Christmas celebrations. This interactive and educational book will not only capture the interest of children, but also of their parents. The objective of the book is to teach children about art through the artworks displayed at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The captivating content of the book, enriched with interactive task-games, makes the newest publication of our Center even more unique,” states Vahagn Marabyan, the Executive Director of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
