The Armenian National Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale 2024

For the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia the Republic of Armenia is presenting an insightful multi-media project, Echo by Paris-based artist Nina Khemchyan (b. 1964).  

The commissioner of the pavilion is the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. 

The Armenian Pavilion in 2024 is co-organized and co-funded by the patron of the Armenian National Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA), a pivotal art institution in Armenia. 

The curator of the National Pavilion is Armen Yesayants, the Director of Exhibitions at CCA. 

The Armenian National Pavilion is located in Magazzino del Sale No. 3, a historical salt warehouse building dating back to the 14th century. Today it is an important art space supervised by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.

The Armenian pavilion in 2024 is marked by an integral institutional collaboration between CCA and Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, organized in partnership with Anton Levahin and A&A Worldwide.

    The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) announces the closure of Ivana Šrámková: Geometric Forms and Images exhibition at Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of the Center. The exhibition, opened in November 2010, for the first time in Armenia presented the works by Czech glass artist Ivana Šrámková from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection. The exhibition was also accompanied by a children’s program, Creativity and Imagination, administered in the exhibition gallery for children aged 6-12.

Admission and Hours

Cafesjian Sculpture Garden: always open.
Escalator Gallery: everyday, 8:00-20:00.
Exhibition Galleries, Museum Store and Visitor Center: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10:00-20:00.
The Center is closed on state holidays.

From April 1 until October 31, CCA Museum Store, besides Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, will also be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00am till 6:00pm.
